Update existing address when changing a City/Street

Hi guys,

I have the following situation: we have implemented SAP ISU, for a water company, and in this implementation, we have activated the City File for the Country where the 100% of Customers are (Chile).

A few days ago, the local authority, observed to the client, that one City name, was incorrect and therefore should be corrected. Useres updated the City master in SAP, but the Business Partners which had assigned the city (in Address tables, the city code is assigned to the BP), were not updated and the city name remained incorrectly.

Is this a standard behaivour? Is it possible to automatically update the address of al BPs when an address update exists? Did you faced this situation before?

Thank you very much for your answers and advices in advance.

Best Regards,

LUCAS

Unfortunately, I don't think it is automatic. You will have to update them.

Lucas:

You need to run the quarterly update programs - RSADRQ*. they take the RS changes and apply them. Otherwise you can access all of the objects individually and they would reflect the new address data.

bill.

Hi Lucas,

Run quarterly adjustment update jobs in this sequence:

RSADRQU1

RSADRQU2

RSADRQU3

This will automatically update the SAP address with new streets/city/Postal code which can be viewed with these tables:

ADRDIFINFO: Control table for Qtrly adj. difference table

ADRDIF_ST: Street table for Qtrly adjustments.

ADRDIF_CT: City table for Qtrly adjustments.

ADRDIF_PC: Postal code table for Qtrly adjustments.

With above info, you will get to know what's the change at city/street level and that can be update manually if you have authorisation.

For that you need to get all the BP & Conn. obj. whic are presently with old street and need to align them to new street.

Hopefully, it'll help you in getting through this problem.

Thanks,

Abhishek
