Hi,
We are unable to login to UCES with FI User Management. Earlier we were using UME User Management for UCES and could login with Users created in Java UME.
But after switching the User Management to FI, we saved the configuration and restarted the Java server and since then we are unable to login to UCES app with R/3 user credentials of FI. It says "Authentication Failed".
However. when we try with the UME user and password, it logs in to UCES without an issue.
Please suggest on what could be the reason behind this behavior.

Any clue on this one???
Do we also require the user to be created in Java server (where UCES is installed) along with FI-CA for the user authentication? I guess not, then why is it only picking the Java server password instead of FI-CA password for the users?
Please reply based out of your experiences as this is a bit urgent and we are really struggling with this issue,

Hi Everyone,
I've been going through a lot of UCES documentations and found the below Help Link:
In the above help link, it is mentioned that to configure the User Management Engine (UME) in such a way that the authentication is made against an SAP system if we are using FI UserManagement.
But in our scenario, we have UCES installed on Portal server and Portal's UME is configured to use Web AS Java database instead of ABAP Data source.
Could it be the reason that even after selecting FI UserManagement in XCM for UCES configuration, the users are not authenticated in SAP system (FI system) and instead authenticated through Portal UME (Web AS Java database).
Is it mandatory to configure the UME of Java server (where UCES is installed) with ABAP data source (SAP System where FI-CA is installed) if we want to configure and use FI UserManagement in UCES.
Please provide your valuable inputs so that we can decide and go ahead.
