Two devices at same premise have different meter read date - SAP error

There is a business need in system setup where two devices at same premise but at different device locations have different meter read dates. These meters are read at different dates, On enter meter read results at different dates SAP errors out asking meter read date to be same date.

Do we have a way to handle this business need to maintain meter reads at different dates.

Hi Anand,

The meter-read dates also used to derive the billing-end-period, and for next month billing then this date helps to derive the billing-start-date (last month end-date +1). and I think that is the reason SAP does not allow to have different MR dates for the devices under one contract/Installation.

can't you have another installation/contract for another device for the same CA? to bill the two devices independently.

You can have an interim read with billing (02) for the other device.

Since we have setup data earlier we will be unable to create another installation /contract for new device.
