Hi All,
I have an issue with transferring funds between BP's. When I use FP40 for transfer, it asks for target contract number and when I enter it says that contract is not assigned to BP or Contract Account.
I was able to transfer a document which didn't have contract number assigned to it.
According to OSS note 616098, is it not possible to transfer funds if a document has contract number ?
Even I tried using Credit Clarification FPCRPO , when enter document number and execute, it does't show any items in clarification.
Does this transaction needs any pre-requisites to be done, before executing it?
Please advice...
Thank you

You should be able to transfer items from one BP to another BP without specifying the contract.
May be the contract that you entered in the screen doesn't correspond to the the BP . Check your input fields.

Points 5 and 6 of note 616098 describe the options available. FPCRPO is only relevant for payment-related credit items - and would still utilize the same transfer posting logic as FP40.

In selection screen of FP40 for selection details I am entering BP and for target details I give BP and Contract Account and when I enter ..a window pops up for assignment of Contracts for transfer posting and when target contract is given it says its not assigned to BP or Contract Account.
It works fine when source document does't have contract assigned to it...it does't ask for target contract.
I want exchange Credit Memos/ payments between BP's. Is there is any other work around if FP40 does't work.
Please suggest me...!!
Thank you for your reply's.

Hi,
If the source item does not have a contract, then the target item should not have a contract either.
Conversely, if the source item has a contract, then the target contract should be specified.
An alternate would be to clear the item from one account to another by using transaction FPE1.
I hope this helps.
