Some fields in the contract are in grayed out mode when I am trying to edit

Hi Experts,

I want to update joint Invoicing field in contact 2nd Tab but this field is noneditable mode.

I used ES21 TCODE.

If you know please tell me why this is happening.

You might need to use es27. or maybe it is part of the MDT? and cannot be changed?

Please check configuration

IMG- Utilities - Master Data - Utility Contract - Define field selection for Utility Contracts

Under influencing check whether for Joint invoicing field status is set as display mode

Also check in the initial screen what is the filed status of Joint invoicing ( Contract is created in background while move in happens and JI field value is written according to assignment of company code + Division + JI

Apart from the above, check for any screen variant in ES21 that may possibly set the field in Display mode.
