Solved: Seal Management Activation

Good Day to all experts,

I want to activate Seal Management for the India specific scenario.

Can you please help me how should I proceed?, what are the business functions that need to be activated?, or if any other steps required for Seal Managemnt functionality.

Seal Management can be activated with Business Function ISU_LOC_CI_2.

The following text is taken from the Release Note:

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (IS-UT 605), business function Localization, Customer Feedback (ISU_LOC_CI_2) is available.

With this solution you can use the following functions:

Seal Management

With this function, you can process and manage seals in the SAP system. You can place one or more seals on an electricity meter (device) to prevent its misuse.

Seal Management is the process of tracking a seal as it moves through the different statuses in its life cycle.

You can make the following Customizing settings:

Seal Management:

In the IMG for Seal Management-India, choose SAP Utilities -> Device Management -> Technology -> Device -> Country Specific Settings for India -> Seal Management

We have activated the same business function to enable Seal management functionality. Would like to understand the dfferent configurations we would require and their rationale. Thanks in advance.

Hi Monis,

Please start with the customisation step by step from the SPRO screen, as per suitable to your business requirement.

Some basic things like Creation of reason codes for issue/allocation/ removal -status change of seal.

Also check the material and manufacturer, if at all you need.
