SAP integration with Itron MDM service point ID

Dears,

We received a request from our MDM provider about the integration object between the two systems ( SAP and MDM) being SAP device location, however the MDM provider requested it to be unique and static ( cannot be changed)
As per SAP, the device location is not unique ( i can install multiple meters on the same device location). and also I can change the device location for an installed meter.

Have anyone faced such situation, and what is the correct way to ressolve it.

Personally I would suggest that the MDM provider has to fit your needs. In practise there is no reason why you would not allow multiple devices to be installed at one device location.

If that is absolutly no option, you could create "dummy" locations which indeed would have a quite big impact and I would not recommend.

So as the last option, you could overwrite the device locations which generated, but not really existing device locations. What would have a quite small impact and if option n1 is not a realistic option, I would go for this option.
