Profit center in Bank GLs

Hi ,

While executing transaction FP25 or FPY1 bank GLs are not populating with profit centers. As per some notes profit center field is available at header level and at line item level in FP25 and also in posting area 1061 for payment program. But we are not getting the same in our configuration.

We are using FICA 6.06

So any idea how to get profit center for bank postings.

Hi Kumar,

Check if the Profit center being maintained in transaction EK02 against the combination of main\sub that you are using for posting the payment through FP25 or FPY1.

Hi Amlan,

Thanks for the inputs.Actually we have maintained entries in EK02 with Co Assignment and Profit centers in that and also for BP items profit center is coming properly but while posting payments via bank GLs profit center is coming.

Hi Ashwani,

Can you check the field status group (FSG) against the Bank GL's to see if profit center is configured as a suppressed entry for that FSG.

Thanks for the reply. We have checked the FSG of all Bank GLs used for cheque lot and FPY1, all are fine...as per the sap note#0001468167  PC field is available at header level and at line item level..but couldn't get that. At BP level its updating but only problem with Bank GLs.

Hi Ashwani,

I went through the SAP Note#1468167 and found that there are quite a few steps which has to be implemented in SAP.

Have you checked each one of them.

Also there is another SAP Note#1473984 which also discusses about the profit center derivation in ISU

Please have a look in that notes as well.

Hi Amlan ,

Thanks for the reply. We have check both the notes you suggested and also raised the concern to SAP. Got the reply of activation of some business functions of "Utility"  and also suggest us to switch on the global status of FICA_EHP4 through SFW1 but we are using EHP6 so to get the enhanced functionality of EHP6 what business functions we need to enhanced.

Hi Ashwani,

I would recommend you to liaise with SAP for knowing the Business function Set (BFS) to be activated in EHP 6.0 to have the same functionality as in EHP 4.0 as per note the sap note#1468167.
