Processing variants in Disconnection

1. I am able to create processing variants for disconnection. But how it should be used? I am unable to change the processing variants at the time of creating disconnection document. How to do that?

2. By selecting the disconnection reason, the processing variant is selected automatically. For example, if I select the reason "Customer Request", the processing variant "CUST" is selected automatically. How it is selected automatically?

You can use user exit EDISCVAR for enabling customized variant selection.
