Hello All,
I was asked to work for a SAP ISU (ABAP) support project in the Print Work Bench area by my company
Can some one help me , Generally do we have more support tickets in PWB after post go live ? Should I choose another support area...I am of the opinion that PWB is a niche area and having exp in this good career wise.
Thank you in advance

Hello Neelima ...
Support for PWB can be quite extensive after go live. It usually depends on such items as the volume of invoices/correspondence printed per night, the complexity of the invoice, how active the customer is in changing the invoice, etc.
If you're already bringing the ABAP skills to the table, PWB support will give you the opportunity to get involved in a wide cross section of CCS. The most common 'after' go live support print issues are in the area of FICA (presenting FICA charges on the invoice). However, if you're the long term support person for invoice, collective invoice and all correspondence (FPCOPARA), then you'll have plenty of CCS cross functional exposure.
Not sure what other detail you might be looking for at this time.
Regards, Joe

Print workbench is an interesting skill. It cover these areas in ABAP (forms, logical database, and it's own user exit). However, I would say that try not to limit yourself with one speicfic area. There are other interesting area likes interface(EDI, IDOC), workflows, enhancement, etc. 'Try to learn as much as possible' would be my suggestion.

One of the things that is really neat with print workbench are the buffers that SAP populates with the print workbench. For instance, if you use print workbench for dunning notices, it will bring over such structures as EVER, FKKMAKO, FKKVKP so there's really no need to do any table reads if there.
It takes awhile to grasp because of the buffers, but overall once you have it figured it out, its not that bad.
