Hi Irshad, the Outline contract in IS-U is a contract that belong to a Master Agreement (Master Agreement in CRM correspond to the Outline contract in IS-U).
This is a particular contract for the Commercial & Industrial Customers that allows the cross-contract calculation.
In order to make these cross-contract calculations, the system must be able to determine the total
consumption from different individual contracts. This, for example, can form the basis for determining a
scale or block price, or an amount-based percentage discount.
SAP supports the following standard procedures of multiple-contract billing:
u2022 Purchasing communities:
Purchasing communities are granted special billing conditions since they are an amalgamation of
several business partners. Free quantities, favorable prices or discounts (based on price, quantity,
service or amount) result in lower final bill amounts. The total consumption is used for statistical
evaluation and is not used as a basis for calculations in billing.
u2022 Joint blocking:
In joint blocking, the system determines the total consumption of all individual contracts for a master
agreement before each individual contract is billed. The consumption is saved in the master
agreement and used when individual contracts are billed. The total consumption can be used, for
example, for price determination during individual billing.
u2022 Bonus calculation:
A provisional, amount-based percentage discount is granted in bonus calculation. This discount is
based on the consumption pattern of the previous periods. After billing, the provisional, amount-based
discount is checked using the actual total consumption and, if necessary, corrected. The franchise fee
for each individual contract is also corrected. The system also calculates an amount-based percentage
discount for the master agreement. The pricing quantity is saved for the next provisional billing run in
the installation facts of the master agreement.
