Notes for revenue recognition

Hi,

I'm trying to set up deferred and un-billed revenue recognition for long term contracts. To enable the configuration, we are trying to apply note 835367. My system is ECC6 EHP5 Service pack 7. Can I use note 835367? If not, which note can I use.

While accessing note 835367, i got message "The requested SAP Note is either in reworking or is released internally only”. Does it mean that SAP is updating the note and we can't access it?

Thanks,

Ketan

Ketan:

that note is relevant for SD revenue recognition - and requires you to open a customer message for permission to use the functionality,  Additionally, i am fairly certain that it is not usable with FI-CA (see https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/678260 ).  With FI-CA, you can use deferred revenue functionality.

regards,

bill.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your message. I'm writing to SAP on this one. When you said deferred revenue can be used with FICA, do you mean that beside setting up revenue recognition in SD, I need to set up something in FICA?

Thanks,

Ketan

Ketan:

are you using FI-CA?  If so, then you cannot use SD-RR.  If not, then you should be posting in the SD forums where it would be more appropriate.

bill.
