not able to reverse the cash desk payment reversal

we have third party for cash desk, they have posted one payment reversal and we want to reverse that payment reversal but getting this message while doing so "Reversal is only permitted using the reversal service Message no. >0887" could you please help us in this?

Are you using the external cash desk functionality? If yes, the reversal should be triggered using the web service to reverse payments.

Hi,

Thanks for extending your help, yes we are using third party system to post cash desk payments, sorry I ddi not get the point to post the reversal through web services? means I should only reverse by using third party? I wont be able to reverse the payments using sap gui? these documents are posted with origin key 1A..
