Not able to add new BP in Contract account

While creating the contract account, I am able to enter multiple partners for the same contract account as the new partner is appearing in the menu in the create mode CAA1. However, the same is not available in CAA2 and it gets grayed out. In my opinion this is standard configuration settings or is there anything else that is driving this.

SAP Boss:

That is by design.  The only time a contract account can have multiple partners is when using Account relationship functionality.

regards,

bill.

As per SAP document, you can add additional partner. Pl refer the above link.

It also states that the industries have different rules.  Beyond that, yes - CAA2 cannot be used to change the partner.  You can only add in create mode since you are setting the link between partner and account there.

Thanks for the clarification. I was a bit confused with the documentation.
