Missing device data

Device data missed but device register data is still there, how can I recover the device? (re-install the same device)

Try using EG42 to change the device data.

Hi Dan,

you could also check the change locks to see what has been changed or lost. If you install a device and reverse the installation usually no data is lost - so depending on what's lost, I'd suggest to check the application log or change log. Use IQ03 to check the device data or even IE03 with the equipment number if available.

My question is the device valid to Oct. so no device under the installation now. I need to valid the same device from Oct. to current. The device register data exist under the installation. Thanks.

It can't be really reversed, but you can redo it. EG34 will work for the day, the device was removed. Usually there are only a few options which rate type to choose...

I tried EG34 but it said device info record already exists for mat. no XXXXX and serial no.XXXXX.

'You have attempted to create a piece of equipment with material number XXXX and serial number XXXX. However, there is already a device info record in ISU for this combination of material and serial number.

The register data is there but device date is empty.(i used es32, enter installation#->click device)
