Hi, The Experts,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meter reading could not be done on-site every month. Hence mass estimated invoicing will be done based on last month consumption.
Is it possible to create Mass Estimated Invoicing without inputting estimating Meter readings?
Kind regards,
JIM

Hi JIM,
If there are no meter readings entered, you can use SAP standard ISU processes to achieve what you want, explore the below process steps:
Let me know if you are in need of something else.
Hope this helps.

Hi Srini,
Thank you for your useful advice.
The process you have explained is normally done when meter reading is performing "normally".
But during the COVID-19 pandemic, meters could not be read manually and an invoice should be issued so that customers can settle the "Estimated payment" or advance/part payment on behalf of the Utility company in keeping the cash flow.
After two or three months when the meter will be read promptly, the readings will be prorated for each month and billing and invoicing will be done and the "Estimated Invoice without reading" generated before will be reversed and the payment will be kept as a Credit payment.
Example:
Month Units Amount Remarks
03/2021 MUR1000.00 Estimated amount based on average 6 months consumption
04/2021 MUR1000.00 Estimated amount based on average 6 months consumption
05/2021 MUR1000.00 Estimated amount based on average 6 months consumption
06/2021 xxx xxxxxxx (Meter is read manually and adjustment has to be done by inputting 03/2021, 04/2021, 05/2021 & 06/2021)
Hope you understand my point.

Hi JIM,
so there are two ways to estimate a billing order -
1. Through EL28
2. EL60
the 2nd approach does not required any estimated meters reading but it prepares the estimated consumption during billing, this solution is called DPC ... and it requires lot of config change with new rate-category (DPC enabled) and new sets of schemas.
