Hi Priya,

The status of device is same in both ISU and PM also.

Once you create In ISU it will create automatically.

The status generated by system itself.

Hi,

This status is set by SAP System internally as a part of general status management.

Also this status tells the user that a certain business transaction was performed for an object.

This is status of a case that contains a particular system behavior.

In contrast to the status, the system status is predefined by SAP.

Hope this will give you a direction.

Sachin

Hi,

Whenever you create the device in ISU the equipment is automatically getting created.

You can check the status in Device Display screen in the field 'Status".

Chk if this helps you.

Hi,

See, first create a device first may be you can try in dummy client.

Display this device in IQ03.

Go to the tab "Ser Data" you can see the corresponding equipment number here.

Is this helpful?

Hi,

once you create device in is-u automatically equipment will be created in PM,you check with device number in ie03.

If u gone through that link which I posted earlier your doubts will be rectified.

Hi,

1. Before Creating a device in IS-U , first  we have to create Device Category (in IS-U) or Material( in MM),then after u can create a device ( Serialization of Material). As a device creates in IS-U at the same time  one Equipment No. will be generated automatically  in PM. So once u create a device(IQ01) then after u can see the  Equipment no. corresponding to the device in IE03.

2. And device status is the status of the equipment in PM. So only in  status field of the device we can see that device belongs to PM. Status of the device is updated internally by the system.

Hope this will help u out.

Thanks Arun.

Actually my question is this, after creation of device we maintain it in plant maintenance module.

so after Plant maintenance how can we know from the device that this device is maintained in plant maintenance.

Hi,

First you create Device category in EG01, material is created automatically.

Similarly,if you create the device (serial number) in IQ01,here you give the ISU equipment that's why serial number is created in PM also.
