The document has the following structure:

Hi Fritz,
Thanks for a new updated EMIGALL document.
I am using EMIGALL from last one year and its a very good tool for SAP data migration.
You can use standard objects supplied in the SAP company as well as you can create your own migration objects very easily using BDC, BAPI method etc.
Its really a fantastic tool for migration.
Thanks and regards,
Suraj

I would like to know if its possible to use EMIGALL for a SAP Tax and Revenue (TRM) Data migration project. SAP TRM makes use of SAP PSCD component which is very similar to the IS-U.
We would be looking at migrating the following data objects with the toolset:
Business Partner
Contract Accounts
Contract Objects

Hi Fred,
Thanks a zillion for such a wonderful notes on ISMW.
well i got the note as i was able to create login from my customer Inst no. and my id.
But i had some doubts like according to your notes it says to create use a existing BAPI but i was unable to find a BAPI for that particular transaction ES65(Create Device Location)as i could only find BAPI for that create funtional location,
so now do we have to create a new BAPI for that or is there other way to do that as you know i read your instruction on the thread of answers but i was a little confused that when i tried to create a migration object as ZLONG and add a BAPI it asks for a service module as i do not know what module to put in there, so i wanted to ask do we need to create a FM so that we can add it or a custom BAPI to make that work..
I also tried with the BDC but i am getting a Structure error.
so i was wondering if you could help me further with this.
i hope that i am not bothering with all my queries.
Thank you for all your support,
Robert

Hello Charvi,
You may use the import file editor. There is a 'getting started' description available in the guidlines. If you encounter further problems, please open an own (separate) thread to discuss the issue. I'd like to keep this thread related to the comments and feedback on the published guidelines.
Thank you for your understanding,

Hi,
I am looking for technical documentation for the migration object PS_RETURN. Most importantly, what tables are updated . We are using it for Tax and Revenue. I have found some documentation for this but none technical enough to tell me what tables get updated in the tax return process. If there is a link that will give me that information, or if anyone has first hand knowledge I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Fritz,
Do you have any knowledge of PS_RETURN in EMIGALL? I can create some records, but the actual field records are not getting populated in any of the DMFCA tables. I have records in the DFMCA_RETURN and DFMCA_FORMS. I have not come across anything that will help me in populating the structures and then actually seeing the line item details in the TAX_FORM_DATA structure. Is there a DFMCA table for that?
Any help or direction will be appreciated as I have exhausted all the resources I know of.
Thanks
Michael

Hello Marco,
Yes, the ISMW is released to be used in public sector projects (TRM is part of it). The required master data can be migrated with the PARTNER and ACCOUNT migration obects. The PS_OBJ migration object allows the migration of the PS specific contract object.
Kind regards,
Fritz
PS: I suggest to keep this thread directly related to the document Guideline IS Migration Workbench.
