how about creating a ZGIS class on device location and store Lat/Long characteristics for the device location.

prerequisite - you should have a device location for every device.

it means you are suggesting enhancement at connection object to get GIS information.

can you give me little more information about this enhancement how and where I will do?

Hey Noor,

no - I did not suggest an enhancement and no I didn't mention Connction object.

I wrote, that I am part of a solution, where we have the device location ES67. I our solution, Device Locations are created for EVERY device. By SAP standard you can see a button class overview on the DL.

So we created a standard class for GIS values (but the class starts w/ Z*, TA: CL02) and created characteristics LAT and LONG for that class.

Now you can update that class to every device location needed. How you do that and how you fill/ update the GIS information, that might be an Enhancement...I have seen to be part as data conversion.

But this will be something you have to discuss in regards to your project specifics.
