Full Replication vz Business Agreement - Which Way ?

Hello IS-U Gurus

Client is using SAP CRM 5 and plans to move to version 7 - currently they use Transaction Launcher and we want to move them to using the Utility Business Roles.

my project manger's problem ( and therefore mine) is that each team member has different views on the replication modelu2013 one view is for full blown replication ( including technical objects ) and the other view being proposed is for accelerated Move-in using parked documents

Ideally we would like to go SAP standard and use the full IS-U role INSTEAD of LEAN BUT we are regulated environment with only about 500K customers in a 90 user call center agents.

1) Do we REALLY need fulll blown replication ?

2) Are the views that different ?

3) for the LEAN role and associated parked documents what are the pitfalls ?

Hi,

If you were to take a Project Manager's perspective, budgetary constraints always come into play.

If theres an unlimited budget, go for full replication, but I think it would be unnecessary.

Lean is fine and wil work well for a small regulated utility

Raj:

Here are SAP recommendations on the existing 3 implementation models:

1) Move In/Out : Do not use with IC Web - Avoid this option.

2) Accelerated Move In-Out : Since this is Transaction based and does not include CRM Contract Management - Valid option

3) Contract Management : All the latest and greatest features of SAP CRM4Utilities available - Recommended

Most clients are preferring option 3 (I have seen 3 clients in the past 3 years going with option 3)
