Hii All,
I would like to know about flat rate interest calculation for over due items in standard configuration.
The interest need to be calculated on the Basis of total Invoice amount and not on the amount unpaid/open after the due date.
If invoice is paid after due date fully or partially, flat rate interest amount should be charged on the original amount.
Can anybody give any comments on the same.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Mitesh Sureliya.

Hi, Have you checked the transaction codes FPI1 and FPINTM1 where you can calculate interest and you can use selections for items to be picked like debit items or credit items or open items only.
thanks,

Hi Mitesh,
Standard SAP functionality for calculating interest on overdue items calculates interest for the residual amount and not the orginal amount for a invoice paid partially after due date.
You need to code for catering your requirement.
An approach would be develop a function module based on your logic and plugging it in event R402.
Event R402 gets triggerred during invoicing.
So, during the generation of the invoice, the FM calculates the interest on any previous unpaid invoice both in full or partial and posts a FI-CA document which can form a part of the invocie and can be sent to the customer.
Hope it helps....
Thanks,

Can you tell me how you configure interest (LPC) for a flat rate (no percent but a flat amount)?
