Hi friends,
Recently when i checked the number range allocation to documents in FICA in SPRO, it is mentioned as note by SAP that not to configure buffering for number range object FKK_BELEG, as the it is handled in another effective way. what could be that way? how can we check it?
We were having the performance issues due to NRIV table locking and we thought to buffer this number range, but SAP does not suggests that.
Can someone throw more light into this please..what could be the other ways SAP can handle effective number allocation for document creation.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sama

Have you set up/assigned multiple number ranges for manual and mass processes for the transactions affected?

yes, but i want to know why SAP does not suggest to buffer FKK_BELEG and in which other ways it can handle number ranges more effectively giving the same/better effect as buffering.?

Buffering will lead to ranges where not all numbers are used - and that is a no-no in finance. Using multiple number ranges assigned makes it efficient.
