Event R979 for LPC amount

Dear Experts,

I was just checking event r979 to see if i could define a custom amount for LPC. i tried doing this in the main code

t_lpc_op-BETRW = '2000'.

just plain definition of a fixed amount of LPC. however, the amount of LPC doesnt seem to be influenced by this line. Am i missing something here? Please let me know if i should do something else to achieve what i want
