Error involving device xxxxxxx register 001

Dear Experts,

while i am trying to bill the customer this error is triggering," Error involving device xxxxxxxx register 001:"

as per my senario..earlier it was standard price, now i have to bill this customer with block price,

his last bill was in 14.06.2008. but i created a new time slice in installation from 1.1.2011 to 31.12.2011 .

and i did the prorate via eg42, then with eg70 rate data also proarted.

but earlier while it was in standard price the unit of measurement is MTU, but for my block price i need it in SCM. so i created a new rates schema & prickeys with all SCM.

if i do the EA00 billing simulation i am getting error as " EPERDET schema(xxxxx) doesnt exist.

when i check in that EPERDET table my new schema was not there?

any body have some clue?

Thanks in advance..

Cheers.

Hi,

EPERDET table contains the configuration of dynamic period control between schema, time slice genarator and period to be created.

The new schema also needs to be inserted in the following menu path of SPRO for dynamic period control:

SPRO-SAP Utilities-Contract Billing-Billing Master Data-Rate Structure-Schemas-Dynamic Period Control-Define Dynamic Period Control.

In the above menu path you need to click 'Period to set up' and there the new schema needs to be entered with appropriate category, time slice generator and periods to be created.

You can take the reference of the earllier schema which is already there.

Hope this will help.

Thanks.

Hi Nirmlaya,

Thanks for the reply, i will change that, but for what reason its showing error in device also like" Error involving device xxxxxxx register 001" while doing actual bill (easibi).

in billing simulation (ea00) if i do the bill for 14.02.2011also, whn i chk in ea22 (display bill doc) its shows simulated docs only til 14.10.2008.

i have the mr order for 14.02.2011 but mr orders, after 14.12.2008 directly 14.2.2011.

in installation the times slices are like following:

06.12.2007 to 31.03.2008

1.04.2008 to 31.12.2010

1.1.2011 to 31.12.9999

but till the second time slice, the schema is with BTU (unit of mesurement)

and from 3rd slice new schema with (SCM unit of mesu).

my problem is, in2008 they configured with standard price and BTU as unit of measure. now i have to change this for block price, but now we are using SCM. as unit of measure.

can u sugest any steps in this case.

it will be more help full.

Thank you v much

Cheers.

Hi,

Please carry out the above configuration first. It may be the case you will be getting a different error. If you can tell us the long description of the error, it will be helpful.

Normally if there is some inconsistency in the device installation / meter reading, you will be getting this error.

Please let us know the current bill period start and end date, the meter reading dates and the device time slices. Also please check the bill period category (PERTYP) of the bill line items in EA22 where you will understand whether the line item is related to normal period or any other period related to dynamic period billing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Hi Nirmalya,

Thanks for reply, i maintained that schema config, but now iam getting another new error,as "Calorific value district XXX date 29.12.2010: no entry in V_TE450"

in eg42 under register tab i maintained the cal.Val D. but for this in table V_TE450 earlier they maintained daily calfic values till 17.11.2008.after that no values was maintained.

i created a new time slice in 01.01.2011 to 31.12.9999 in installation.

now i tried to do bill simulation (EA00) on 14.02.2011, but it throws the above error.

so do i need to maintain the all daily calfic values from 18.11.2008? coz i maintained randomly but still its shows some other date as error.

my meter readings are like following

14.02.2011 RR(01)

14.06.2008 RR(1)

14.04.2008 RR(1)

01.04.2008 RR(6)(meter reading at move in)

06.12.2007 RR(21)(meter reading at bill- rel instalation)

do u have any clue on this?

Thanks..

Cheers.

Hi,

Please maintain daily caloricfic value per caloricfic district in the following menu path from 18.11.2008 onwards.

SPRO-SAP Utilities-Contract Billing-Special Functions-Gas Billing-Calorific Value-Maintain Daily Calorific Values per Calorific Value District

Hope it will solve your problem.

Thanks.

Hi,

It all depends on what you have maintained in 'Time ref. for CV' in the calorific value procedure configuration.

The calorific value procedure can be configured at:

SPRO-SAP Utilities-Contract Billing-Special Functions-Gas Billing-Calorific Value-Define Calorific Value Procedure

You can maintain it for year / month or on daily basis.

Please check the value of 'Time ref. for CV' of the used calorific value procedure.

For example if you have used monthly time ref. value, then you can carry out the configuration in the following menu path.

SPRO-SAP Utilities-Contract Billing-Special Functions-Gas Billing-Calorific Value-Maintain Monthly Calorific Values per Cal. Value District.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Hi Nirmlya,

thanks for that valuable info, i have small confusion, in my case, earlier in the rat cat. Gas bill type they maintained as thermal.

but now i am maintained as scm, because all my measuring units was in SCM. earlier the unit of measurement is BBTU.

can you gve idea in which case we will follow thermal and which case we will follow SCM as gas bill type? is it based on unit of measurement? at register level? i followed the help. but it was not cleared for me.

and that daily calorific value maintain will be applicable for the both procedures (thermal & scm) ?

Thanks..

Cheers.

Hi,

It depends on how you are getting the measurement / consumption / meter reading of gas which will be relevant for billing.

If you are directly getting the meter reading where the difference of meter reading will be billed and there is no need of multiplying the reading with any conversion factor, you can go for volumetric gas billing.

If you are getting the meter reading and you need to multiply the meter reading difference with a correction factor (volume correction factor), you should go with gas billing with standard cubic meter (SCM).

If you are getting the meter reading where for getting the actual billable gas consumption you need a calorific value (Conversion factor indicating how many kWh of energy are obtained from one standard cubic meter of gas) and conversion factor for each register, you should go for thermal billing gas procedure process.

Also regarding your last question calorific value is required only for thermal billing. It is not required for standard cubic meter gas procedure.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.
