Error adding Capabilities to AMI Activation Group

Hello Experts,

I am trying to add AMI Activation Group and assigning AMI capablities to the same but error TK428 - "Table TEAMI_CAPACTGRC is not part of the customizing object VC_AMI_CAPACTGRPC" is preventing adding AMI capabilities to the activation group.

There is thread in same conversation which provides an answer to this but i am unable to follow the instructions. Please help!!

I'm afraid there was a missunderstanding.

Within the above thread there are steps given how to solve the issue:

"1. Play the SAP Notes 1749724 , 1752890 and 1750592 a .

If already happened and the error persists :
2. Start transaction SOBJ by choosing ' Maintain ' .
3. Position the object
Property VC_AMI_CAPACTGRPC
type V
If not available positions the object :
Property V_TEAMI_CAPACTGR
type V
4. Select the object .
5. Choose the level ' BOM ' from .
6. Press the button ' Match m . Dict . ' .
7. Save .
If already happened and the error persists :
8. Start the transaction SE54 .
9. Call the view cluster VC_AMI_CAPACTGRP .

10. Select "Enable" ( The info message to the SAP namespace can be igoriert ) ."

Did you try to follow those instructions?

If so, at which step did you run into problems?

Sorry for coming back late on this. Thanks for your response.

The above notes are not valid for my system and i am unable to follow the steps provided.

Seems information after step 4 is incomplete, i cannot see any level BOM anywhere.

well the translation from the knowledge base article 2049098 is wrong.

Instead of 'BOM' it's 'Piece List'

Thanks for your response, i cannot find any button called 'Match m . Dict .' in step 7 and not even step 8/9 as well. Sorry for if i am missing anything obvious

Well, the button is named "Synchronize"

Regarding SE54 try this:

- Choose "Edit View Cluster" and enter VC_AMI_CAPACTGRP

- Open with "Create/change"

- Activate it

Thanks for being this patient. I was finally able to solve this. Please see below the exact steps i followed.

No Changes done for step 1 to 7, as per your last comment i couldn't find the synchronize button.

1. Play the SAP Notes 1749724 , 1752890 and 1750592 a .
If already happened and the error persists :
2. Start transaction SOBJ by choosing ' Maintain ' .
3. Position the object
Property VC_AMI_CAPACTGRPC
type V
If not available positions the object :
Property V_TEAMI_CAPACTGR
type V
4. Select the object .
5. Choose the level ' BOM ' from .
6. Press the button ' Match m . Dict . ' .
7. Save .

Steps provided by SAP
If already happened and the error persists :
8. Start the transaction SE54 .
9. Call the view cluster VC_AMI_CAPACTGRP .
10. Select "Enable" ( The info message to the SAP namespace can be igoriert ) .

Actual Steps followed:

1. Go to SE54

2. Enter Table view: VC_AMI_CAPACTGRP

3. Click on Edit View Cluster

4. Click on Create/Change

5. Warning message would appear: "View Cluster VC_AMI_CAPACTGRP Does not belong to you"

6. Information pop up would appear "Do not make any changes( SAP Data)", press ok

7. Click on "activate"

8. Click yes on Pop Up "Do you want to modify the subobject maintenance dynpros?"

9. Done.

After this i was able to save AMICAG and assign capabilities to it as well.
