EAMS01 Parallel processing runs only 1 job

Hello Colleagues,

We are trying to run the SAP IS-U mass simulation for Unbilled revenue reporting (Tcode EAMS01 in background mode).

We are requesting 5 jobs in the parameters (in technical settings) and 50 as block size in the Billing tab.

However, only 1 job runs, and the others complete right away.

We have around 300K installations, so the single job is taking too long.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Did you run EAMS10 to create the simulation indexes? That program populates EBISIM which is used in the parallel processing variant for EAMS01. Also check whether your parallel processing variant has been updated.

Thanks for your response.

Yes, we did create Simulation indexes for the Period ID. We did`nt use a Variant for the parallel run, because its optional based on the cookbook documentation. We can try using a Variant and see if it helps.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

We created a Variant and now the multiple jobs are working in parallel, as expected.
