Hi Experts,
Does anyone know how SAP decides the absolute Tolerance limits in Independent validations that are displayed in the 'Overview of Validations' (double click on Green arrow) in transactions EL28, EL18 etc?
Thanks and Regards,
PD

HI Prajakt,
In SAP ISU, meter reading indeput can hav a numbrer of validation, These are depentent validation or independent validations. Indepentent validaytions consists of fixed and variable validations.
Please follow the link below to understand the validation types for meter reading
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_utilities472/helpdata/en/9f/03693582f4db60e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm
It is important to note that validation classe is entered in the register rate the independent validations stored in the validation class for the rate become effective for the register. these validations applies to one specific register. Fixed independent validations are carried out automatically in the system while Variable independent validations are carried out based on customizing settings.
Hope this helps...

Hi PD,
The Tolerance Limits are calculated as per the validation tolerances maintained in the SPRO.
First the expected MR value is calculated by considering the Base period/ weight calculation process.
On this expected MR value the tolerance limit is applied and the higher and lower MR values are calculated.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks & Regards
