Hi

The difference between the connection and the connection object is as follows:

the connection is an en equipment in PM and in real life is the equipment which links the grid this the customer's tehnical installation. For gas it may have a pipe, a pressure regulater and other pices which copose the connection.

The connection object is the building that is connected to the grid by the connection. It is a functional location in PM module.

Hi

connection :The Connection object holds all information about the actual status of a remote connection to an R/3 System and is used to establish one.

connection object :

The Function control uses a Connection object to connect to the R/3 System. Only one Connection object can be associated with a Functions collection. You must log on with the Connection before any new Function objects can be requested.

Please reward if it helps

Connection Object : It is a functional thing in IS-U as u can say a building. Connection Object is the place where various connections will be made.

Connection: Connection on the other hand is a part of technical installation. This is the point where PoD ends. Where physical connection is made to deliver services.

hope this will answer your question and u will understand the difference..

Thanks 'n Regards,

Ashwani
