Device xxxx does not correspond to specifications given

Hello

I was trying to do a full installation , but when I enter the 'new device', I recieve the error message:-

Device xxxx does not correspond to specifications given

any suggestions ?

hello,

1.Check the device might be technically installed

2.Check the full installation date and Device date

3.Check also the Installation date

Hi,

Goto IQ03 transaction and check the device characteristics...

Check if the deviceis not already installed at a premise...if so you cannot reuse the same..

Check if the device end date is >= current date(installation date)

Most importantly check if the device division is EL/GS(This should match with the division at the installation)

You cant assign a gas device to electric(EL) installation and vice versa..

device is valid from 29 Sept 2008 till 31.12.9999

&

Installation :- 4 Oct 2008 till 31.12.9999

so if device end date is = current date(installation date), then I am confused here.

could I get clarified here ?

*BTW, device division is same as in installation.

Hi

the thing is ur device has been already installed technically.now vat u need 2 do is go for billing related alone tcode EG34 and complete it.

then its equal to finish full installation..

doing full installation is equal to performing technical inst and billing inst ....

ur problem will be solved if u could just do billing related installation for that particular device and for particular premise.
