Device Replacement - transformers

Dears,

I have a semi direct meter installed in an installation, and groups of 3 ct transformers (grouped together using eg27), are installed in the device location for the premise of that utility installation.

I have an issue when i want to replace one of the transformers that each time i wantto do this, I have to remove the meter, then remove the transformes then change the device group, the install the transformes and then install the meter again.

It is a lengthy process, is there anyway to replace one transformes without doing all these steps?

The mentioned behavior it's not an issue but a consistency check. These validations will guarantee you'll have no inconsistents installations on your system.

To avoid the hassle of this lengthy process, clients usually automates this processes via custom reports or workflow.

Though, one quick alternative is to perform a device replacement. For that you'll need to make sure that the new device pocess the same characteristcs of the old one. This procedure is done through transaction EG30. You'll find useful information on this transaction in the community archives.
