Deleting user profiles

We have been cleaning up roles and we inadvertently delted a task group without removing the users first. The profile still shows on all the user accounts but the role does not. We can not recreate the same profile name because the original was created in v.3 and we are using 4.6b now.

Is there a way to delete this profile without going through one at a time?

There is no mass delete profile available so the next best thing is to create a CATT through tcode SCAT or SECATT.

Thanks. I found something else that worked as well. If you do a mass comparison of any task group it will go out and clean up any errors like this. We had 4000 users that we were deleting the profile manually and I did a mass comparison on a different task group and they all got cleaned up.

Sorry thought you meant you wanted to delete profiles from the system and not deleting the assignment of profiles from user ids.
