DBA jobs on DB13 not running

Hi,

I am having the following issues on DB13:

- for jobs like check and update optimizer stats, check db, cleanup logs, etc.. they are all failling with the following error:

Job started

Step 001 started (program RSDBAJOB, variant &0000000000133, user ID DARMAWANH)

No application server found on database host - rsh/gateway will be used

Execute logical command BRCONNECT On host SAP-DB

Parameters: -u / -jid CHECK20041115020000 -c -f check

Invalid trace level as argument

ld.so.1: brconnect: fatal: libclntsh.so.9.0: openfailed: No such file or directory

Process died due to signal 9

SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BRCONNECT - Reason: unknown

Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

i ran command brconnect -u / -jid CHECK20041115020000 -c -f check at OS level using credential ORA<SID> and it failed with the following error:

hostname:,SIDadm 1% brconnect -u / -jid CHECK20041115020000 -c -f check

ld.so.1: brconnect: fatal: libclntsh.so.9.0: open failed: No such file or directory

Killed

Note: it was working perfectly since 2 years after go-live. The problem above occurred after a power failure.

Hi ,

Please check whether oracle client folder exists and the instant client soft link also exist

/oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient --> /oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient_10202

It looks like you have oracle 9i . You may follow instant client path based on oracle 9i and check the results.

Note we use Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

it is a pretty weird issue. It happened because of a power failure. All SAP servers were restarted automatically.

Do you think if I restart the server it will solve this issue? Or any other solution

Hello,

In addition to above on tcode Sm21 the following errors appear:

Operating system call connect failed (error no. 146 )

Communication error, CPIC return code 017, SAP return code 236

> CPI-C function: CMINIT(SAP)

Documentation for system log message Q0 I :

The specified operating system call was returned with an error.

For communication calls (receive, send, etc) often the cause of errors

are network problems.

It could also be a configuration problem at operating system level.

(file cannot be opened, no space in the file system etc.).

Additional specifications for error number 146

Name for errno number ECONNREFUSED

Interprocess communication (e.g. TCP/IP) connection refused by partner.

This usually means that the necessary receiver program is not running.

im trying to figure out why its complaining about oracle 9 client if you are running 11g ??

as a quick solution i would say placing 9i client, but maybe try and update brtools to 720 (33) and see if the error persists

also can you please paste

ls -l /oracle/client/11x_64

there might be a mount missing ?
