Cannot create BP,CA,DEV.CAT etc.

Hi Gurus,

              When i create business partner,contract account and device category,and while i try to save,it is getting processed for infinite time.That means,i cannot save it.

This problem is not faced during the creation of other parameters.(i can create premise,CO,device etc)

I checked on ST22 and SM12,but was of no use.

Can anyone give a solution for this issue?

Hello,

Please create a Material in SAP MM, You need to select ISU material type.- MM01

Then based on this material type you have to create the Device vategory, like Meter, Transformer etc etc.- EG01, by selecting the above material type.

Then you need to create the actual meter IQ01- serial number of that meter.

Like there are digital meters in electricity market ( this is the device category) and all the meters are the different serial numbers, like you have a unique serial number to your mobile.

After that also the problem persist.you told about device category,but what is the solution for BP,CA etc?All these screens are continuously being processed without getting saved.

Hello,

Do you mean the screen is hanged?, in such case please close all the screens.

Create the data as per below sequence one by one.

create Connection object, then premise, installation, device, BP.

Hope this solves or helps you out.

I meant that the screen hangs.I created in the same sequence as said by you,but was unable to save because the screens goes on processing.....

May be you can check with basis person as what is going wrong in execution.

Did you get any ABAP dump?, in such acse an ABAPer can help you out.

Hi,

I did not get any dump.Also i searched for table lock, and checked for the number range issues.All seemed to be ok in this case.
