Hi guys,
HT consumer does not have meter. So the bill for HT consumer is generated based on the consumption difference of HT meter connected to the HT side of DTR and LT meter.
The adjustment of LT meter reading will be done in the Normal hours of HT-TOD meter readings.
Can it be done using Serial Switching? If so please guide me through.
Thanks,
Arghya

Hi Arghya,
I was confused with your question, I hope HT customer has a meter and LT customer using that same meter.
if this is a scenario you can use serial switching.
In LT meter only two registers will be there, for calculating consumption and demand.
so you can take first register's for serial switching, where you calculate consumption.

Hi Vishnu,
Thanks for quick response.
Unfortunately the HT consumer is not having any dedicated meter rather the HT meter is connected to the HT side of the DTR and the LT consumer is having a dedicated LT meter.
So what we are thinking is attaching a dummy meter to the HT consumer to bill it. But the consumption of the HT consumer will be the consumption difference of HT meter connected to the HT side of DTR and the LT meter.
Can it be done? If serial switching is sufficient then please guide me process and tcode wise.
Hope to get valuable inputs.
Thanks,
Arghya

Hi Argha,
Yes it can be done through serial switching, provided the billing period will be same for both the meters. If the billing period is different you can not enter the meter reading result for the both devices at same time which further leads to an error for obtaining dummy meter reading consumption from SAP.
Also take care of weighting procedure for both the registers as it leads to extrapolating the readings.
hope this helps

Hi Girish,
The customer for whom I am working follows monthly meter reading cycle for all consumers. We are definitely keeping all the installtions in the same MRU and we will make sure that the meter readings are done at the same time.
Now can you guide me how process and transaction wise these scenario can be achived?

Hi Arghya,
For Serial switching go to tcode EG75 and define the primary & secondary device there. For your case the Dummy meter would be the primary installation & HT ( DTR ), LT meter would be secondary device. Pls select operation code accordingly. Then go the installation of HT & LT meter in ES31 and define dummy meter as a primary installation there.
Also check the rate data for all the three installations for rate determination, rate type & weighing key.
Also I presume that the schedule meter reading date for MRU and portion of all the three devices are same.
Hope this helps

Hi Argya,
There is a cookbook SAP market place which clearly explains your scenario, the scenario you are referring to is called as subtractive billing.
thanks,
