Billing Order Vs Billing Unit in SAP FI-CA

Hi Experts,

As per my understanding, once the BITs are created in FI-CA, it forms a billing unit during run time to form a billing document.

What is the purpose of billing order which also a baseline to form a billing document?

Please give any example.

A billing order is used in ISU to enable billing, analogous to the BITs used in convergent charging/invoicing.
