Billing Error: Conversion of profile values to interval size not possible

Former Member

Hi All,

During Billing execution i get the below error:

Conversion of profile values to interval size not possible

Diagnosis

You attempted to change the current interval size 121347 of profile 121347 to interval size 121347. This is not possible for profile 121347 for one of the following reasons:

Current interval size 121347 of profile 121347 is not a multiple integer of desired interval size 121347. Nor is desired interval size 121347 a multiple integer of current interval size 121347.

The current interval size 121347 of profile 121347 was not converted to required interval size 121347 because of the specified opening period. than interval size 121347.

Interval size 121347 has not been defined.

Profile value category of profile 121347 does not permit conversions.

Can please anyone help me with the resolution of this error?

Thanks,

Mayuresh

Hi Mayuresh,

Please check this link.

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/87/45f125734e4ca989c28688e5ee0877/content.htm

Here it says :

You can convert interval lengths as long as they are even-numbered divisors or multiples of each other.

Eg : You can convert a 30 minute interval into a 10 minute interval.

However, you cannot convert a 15 minute interval into a 10 minute interval.

So check this if the interval length of the profile and values getting imported into the profile match or even numbered divisors or multiples.

<Profile value category of profile 121347 does not permit conversions. >

Replacement Value can only be generated for Profile value categories : Quantity or Demand.

so check if the Profile value category is different.

hope it helps.

Cheers,

Rakesh..

Hi Rakesh,

Thanks for your reply.

I have defined Interval Length as "15 minutes" and Profile Category as "QUANTITY" and also the Profile Type is "Measured Profile". Also Profile values are populated according to 15 minute interval fior Aug Billing period (01.08.2011 to 31.08.2011).

In the Device Info Record as well Interval length is defined as 15 minutes.

My question is - If the Interval length is defined as 15 minutes why i am getting this error of converting the profile values from 10 minute interval to 15 minute??

Thanks,

Mayuresh

Hi Rakesh,

Just got my mistake and my problem is resolved now.

It was really a silly and unnoticed mistake - In one of the RTP Interfaces by mistake i had defined the Interval length as 10 minutes and hence it was giving this "conversion of profile values error".

Anyways thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mayuresh
