It's my pleasure to keep you informed of the latest news from our very dynamic utility industry. I have just published the October newsletter with a lots of news about innovations, best practices from our customers, partner solutions, new tools, events, and much more.


 

Here is a preview of some highlights:


We are excited to announce our first
SAP Global Partner Utilities Week 2020 taking place from November 16-20. In cooperation with our global industry partners, EY, Atos, Accenture, Deloitte and TCS, we will offer daily sessions on different topics.

SAP and E.ON announced a new partnership to build a cloud platform based on the SAP S/4HANA Utilities solution to set a new standard in Germany’s power grid business.

More and more customers are adopting SAP S/4HANA, we now have over 7800 customers globally. These include more than 275 SAP S/4HANA Utilities ERP customers with more than 65 that adopted SAP S/4HANA Utilities. In early October, we released SAP S/4HANA 2020. This issue features customer stories from Alliander in the Netherlands and Acea in Italy, who migrated to SAP HANA Cloud. The Brazilian company TAESA implemented SAP S/4HANA to enable strategic growth and automate processes. Kyushu in Japan transformed its financial system and optimized electricity production using SAP S/4HANA. São Simão in Brazil reduced their total cost of ownership and improved productivity with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Extended Edition. China Huadian used expert guidance to optimize business value from its software investment and reduce the cost of ownership. And our customers AGL, Mercury, Powerco, TransGrid, and Veolia have been selected as finalists in the Best Run Award ANZ.
