The ASUG Utilities Volunteers said "SIG’s should have lifecycles". Hot topics change over time and they felt their structure should have a lifecycle

He said he helps guide development organization, visits utilities around the world
North American utilities experience same issues as others around the world

Henry said they have "over 282K customers in 190 countries across all 26 industries" with over $16 trillion in invoices
With S4/HANA, they can create new dynamic user interfaces with guided configurations, combining actual and historical data, to simulate processes

Figure 9 shows they can configure solution, to "tailor solution without customizations" with an on premise managed cloud (private)
Some SAP solutions are in public cloud (HR, procurement, Fieldglass, Concur)

SAP said "4 key processes in Finance solution – all that is needed when run in memory"

With S4/HANA, you can have an reduced footprint, with up to 5 times reduction in database
The code is 2.5 compressed in porting suite to HANA
Actual and historical processes with S/4 HANA code line – compress up to 4 times into the future
With SAP's Multi Channel Foundation you can pull info from core system and present to employees and customers in simplistic process

On this slide, Henry said the network now has a "frictionless business process" to improve procurement processes, build networks
Henry said SAP applications touch 2/3 of global commerce
Today there is a "pro-sumer" with solar panels, renewable energy; need to change business quickly
"ASUG community is aligned to value maps" and coming at soon will have very detailed S/4 HANA roadmap for Utilities

Q: I apologize if this seems to be a stupid question, but this is the first time I have seen S/4. We have just moved to SAP HANA. When you speak of better forecasting, simulation of results or org structures is that done in Project Systems??
A: long answer…move to Simple Finance first, then move to S/4 HANA

A: As progress Simple Finance, look at simplify other processes – can’t say
