Following the positive feedback received from last year's Water Track at the 2023 Utilities Conference in Basel, where passionate speakers showcased examples on how data can transform the water sector by tackling challenges such as contamination, leakages detection or the management of limited resources, we are proud to keep the track in the agenda for this year with the aim to consolidate this section for future conference editions and give floor to a selection of exceptional professionals working hard for a world in which water resources are managed in an equitable and sustainable way.
The soul of this track is the inheritance of the Executive Value Network for Water and Waste Water Companies meetings, this is a regular meeting of water companies which takes place in Europe (already five editions) and Latin America (third edition scheduled for May) where participants highlighted common challenges water utilities are facing—water scarcity, augmenting capital expenditures, legislation, aging workforce, inflation in energy prices, and sustainability—along with case studies of how SAP customers are leveraging SAP solutions to address these challenges.

Based on this feedback, and conducted by our colleague Ivan Barreto who is the Head of the Industry Advisory Utilities & Public Services for Latin America and ex-employee of Acueducto de Bogotá which serves water and waste water services in the capital of Colombia, the water track will take place on Wednesday, 24th April. It will provide insights into the ways SAP solutions can help organizations confront these challenges: Look forward to significant showcases, a product keynote and a discussion round table among participants which will provide a complete overview on how SAP can can help water companies gain operational efficiencies.

The Agenda will be focused on cases where SAP solutions can help organizations confront these challenges and its operational benefits, starting with a short a keynote describing the concept architecture by SAP to support water management processes. It serves as a “framework” highlighting ways in which organizations can leverage their software investments to tackle processes such as smart meter data management (“Smart Platform for Water: Vision, Feasibility and Benefits on Daily Operations”). It will be followed by transformation case studies:
Take this unique opportunity to connect with your peers, gain insights into industry trends and chart your development plan with the latest technologies of 2024!
