Solution for Jewelery in SAP for Retail

Hi All

Can you please share some experience on Jewelery implementation for any customer on SAP for Retail platform.How our Retail solution is suited to Jewelery retailers.Any documentation on Key business Proces's used by retailers and solutioning in SAP for Retail will help a great deal.

Hi Panda,

IS Retail is effective only for Branded jewellery (design fixed) (can be treated as a single/sales set). it is not fit for conventional jewellery which involves catch weight , design components with BOM , make to order production ,third party procurement , legal regulation (purchasing from govt , ), import and residual loss..

for Jawelery you can use vendor consigment scecenario .. and POS side confgure sale as per recpet IDOC ..

Hi

For only gold items, a value of wt is maintained for the item.

As gold prices differ every day, the difference between the purchase price and sales price is maintained via condition types GAU1 and GAU2.

For ornaments which have components like diamonds etc, components pricing can be done.

Hi Amit,

The gold price may depend on the business, normally there is a daily price for every country.

Internationally

World gold council http://www.gold.org is accepted.

I am not sure if there is a webservice available, incase u find one.. do let me know as well
