POS sales posting with order unit of measure(BOX) instead of sales unit(EA)

Hi,

We just started using multiple UPC's/EAN for articles for different unit of measure. But we are using SAME UPC for sales unit(each) and same UPC for order unit(BOX or CASE). Our vendor does not give us different UPC for each or case, its the same.

Now when WPUUMS idocs comes into ERP, the sales are posting with BX and CV instead of EA.

Could any one help us, is this something with config or is it purely how SAP sorts the unit of measure.

Hi,

where do you maintain the UPC ?

The article UPC can be seen in article master 'basic data' screen. And it should be UNIQUE for every

unit of measure.

The vendor specific UPC should be maintained in the INFORECORD. Go to purchasing view and maintain the vendor article number.

I guess the the POS DOC will try to read the table MEAN or a using a function module to find the right UoM for the UPC. It is a must, that this UPC is unique per UoM

As vendor was providing same UPC for different unit of measure we had the issue. BOX and EA unit of measure was same, but still that does not explain why SAP takes the order unit of measure BX instead of selling unit of measure(EA) while ringing sales. May be its a bug

Still the issue exists and we cannot maintain same UPC for differenct unit of measures. We are trying to get diff. UPC codes from vendor
