Warning Message when budget supplement....

Hi All,

When i perform budget supplement in FMBBC i am getting the below WARNING MESSAGE. Ideally, this should come during actual posting based on the tolerance profile configuration.

Annual budget almost exhausted for document item 000001

Message no. FMAVC006

Diagnosis

The current budget consumption is 2,606,355.20 AED (FM PB Availability Control) less than the annual budget for the document item 000001. Budget control on outgoing amounts ( ceiling type Expenditures) raised this message for the following combination of availability control ledger, fiscal year (and if applicable, year of cash effectivity) and control object:

9H/2011/20001060/1212101610/-

Could you please direct me on this issue. i am confused.

Hi Abhisay,

Note 885028 should be in your system already, please check it (including manual steps). But since it is valid to older releases I believe that the note is in place.

In addition, you should check your tolerance profile settings for operation Supplement, usually this is the cause of this issue.

Check also if 'BWB' is enabled in the "Activate/Deactivate Some AVC Messages for Applications" customizing.

If you perform some changes in the IMG activity, it will be mandatory to reconstruct AVC with FMAVCREINIT.

Hi,

AVC warning messages are issued on any operation involving AVC ledger change. Thus, even if you add the budget and by this improve your budget situation, if the budget consumption is such that AVC message is relevant, the system will show it to you.

Hi Venessa,

The note 885028 is already in system and BWB is enabled in "Activate/Deactivate Some AVC Messages for Applications" customizing. Should we disable this and what is the impact if I do so?

Where should I check for "Tolerance profile settings for operation Supplement,"?

I have also executed FMAVCREINIT and I see no change in the problem.

AVC ledger change, does it mean any changes to ledger which includes, Actual Postings, Budget supplement, returns and so on.,? I am not consuming budget but supplementing it. I am not getting the AVC message for other FC and CI budget supplement. This message is being displayed only for a specific FC and CI and I am unsure why this should happen?

Please, read carefully my message. Any change, i.e. also budget change. The message is displayed due to your tolerance profiles. These profiles are not dependent on operation, but on AVC ledger.

Thank you and I understand clearly, what I do not understand is, the message is appearing only for a specific Funds Center and commitment Item and not for other FC and CI combination.

The message would appear for the budgetary object, where the situation implies it. If the budget is not consumed up to certain level, then no message will appear. Additionally, there could be specific tolerance profile defined for this budgetary address in your system.

You might have decreased the %age of tolerance profile for respective value type before your actual posting values did not reach to previous %age limit maintained for these FM Objects.
