Restrict AVC checks only for few Commitment items

Hi Experts,

My client requirement is to restrict the AVC checks only for few Commitment items.

I have already mapped the GL accounts with statistical commitment item, but this is not updating the fm line items table which is not reflecting in FMAVCR01 and FMRP_RW_BUDCON.

The requirement is to update the budget values in reports without AVC checks, which even exceeded it should not stop the process.

Currently we have a tolerance limit which will trigger error message once it exceeds 110% (BCS)

So we may need one more tolerance group which should not trigger error message

Awaiting reply

Thanks,

Manoj M

Hi,

Yes, the standard solution would be creation of a tolerance profile, which allows exceeding budget on 999% and creating a strategy for deriving tolerance profile, making a rule which would be based on commitment item.

Eli

Hi Eli,

Thanks for your reply. I have created a new Tolerance profile under 'Edit Tolerance profiles' and a derivation rule in 'Define Derivation strategy for Tolerance Profiles'. In the derivation strategy for Tolerance profile, I have mapped the few commitment items (Source field) with the new Tolerance Profile (Target field) and the rest of the commitment items with the old Tolerance profile. Since the Derivation strategy was already assigned under 'Assign Tolerance Profiles and Strategy for Control Objects', I started testing the functionality, but still am the error message is triggered for that commitment item.

Please reply

Thanks,

Make sure that in your strategy you overwrite tolerance profile. It is a parameter which you set within the rule.

Hi Eli,

The requirement now is to not remove the control totally. In few cases, the control should be only on commitment item.

For instance: CI-1 has the budget value 10,000 against Funds center 1, then it should be consumed by any funds center in spite of being distributed against them i.e, it should also allow to consume from Funds center 2 and Funds center 3 and the value should also not exceed 10,000 for CI-1

Thanks,

Manoj M

That's another story: this is not treated by tolerance profiles, but by budget addresses or control objects. Raise a new thread for this...
