Hi,
The requirement now is to not remove the control totally. In few cases, the control should be only on commitment item.
For instance: CI-1 has the budget value 10,000 against Funds center 1, then it should be consumed by any funds center in spite of being distributed against them i.e, it should also allow to consume from Funds center 2 and Funds center 3 and the value should also not exceed 10,000 for CI-1
Thanks,

Hi,
As I mentioned before, this is not removing control of fund centre, but rather defining different budgetary addresses. You can access this issue in two ways: a) Defining budgetary structure and derivation strategy b) Creation of control objects derivation strategy in AVC
In both cases, you would have to define a strategy, which will look for the budget on fund centre 1 for the relevant commitment items. If this FC1 is a superior of fund centres FC2 and FC3, you can build your strategy on this fact.

Hi Eli,
In this case, if i create a superior funds center and map it with FC2 and FC3, then in budget report the values will not be displayed against FC2 and FC3 right?
We need the actual to be displayed with relevant FC2 and FC3. Will it be possible through control object derivation strategy?
Thanks

Hi Eli,
We do not use Budget structure here. So I have created a derivation for control objects with source as Commitment item and Funds center and target with Hierarchy variant of Funds center with overwrite option, but still am getting the same error. There is no change. Can you please help me on this
Thanks,

Hi,
Actuals will be displayed on the relevant fund centres; this is not changed, but defined only with FMDERIVE. Only the budget will be checked, and presented, on the superior fund centre.
If you changed the strategy for control objects, you would first have to initialize AVC ledger by running FMAVCREINIT. So, do it and see if it works. If it still doesn't, then put a trace on your derivation and check if the control objects is derived correctly.
