Hello All,
Would anyone share some practical/real life examples to which we need to use non-postable commitment items ?
Thanks,
Mohamed

We create "budget only" commitment items marked non-postable to hold budget and perform AVC at the group level. Postings in this case go to lower level commitment items after AVC at the group level.

Hi,
Non-postable commitment items are basically used for hierarchy/reporting purpose.

Small remark to Shyam's feedback:
This functionality is more commonly achieved by definition of budgetary and posting addresses in budget structure and its further derivation. There is no need to mark 'upper' commitment items as 'Not directly postable' for this purpose. However, this flag can be used as 'second safety' measure.

Eli,
Agreed. We use this as we do not use budget structure.
Thanks
