Next Year Budget utilization for current Year Purchase Orders

HI FM Experts,

In my organization, FM is configured to check budget from purchase order instead of purchase requisition. Procurement deptt. want to issue purchase orders from next year plan in current year due to some reasons. Deliveries are also planned in current year calender dates.

Management wanted from me to link the current year purchase orders from next Year's budget commitment items. I have tested scenario @ QAS, system derive budget year from PO date. If PO date is of current year system pick the current budget year. Current year procurement budget has been fully utilized. Budget is only available in next FM year.

Is there any possibility to link the budget of next/following year for the purchase orders of current/ongoing year?

Hi,

You can base FM posting date on delivery and not on posting date. You can make the relevant settings in OF39.

Regards,

Eli

Thanks Eli for your time and guidance.

I am trying to do the same as suggested by you but not successful. System prompting error. Screen shots are attached. Please elaborate the relevant setting in OF39 in bit more detail so that i could do it easily.

This error is justified. You would have not to work with PBET (Peiod-based) update, if you want to define FM date as delivery date. Only year-based update is possible
