New derivation when clearing GL documents

When i try to clear 2 GL documents via F-03 the FMAA is derived again. I would expect this not to happen as the original documents have a correct FMAA. Is this correct behaviour?

Hi,

As I mentioned, FM derivation is triggered for every FI posting; it is standard behaviour. If you don't want to pass through certain derivation rules, which might override existing FM assignments, in case of clearing, you can set a pre-requisite in the rule; for example, by document type.

Regards,

Eli

Hi,

What do you mean by FMAA, FM account assignment? If 'yes', then FM assignment is essential for every posting in FI, including the clearing. Derivation strategy will be, hence, triggered while performing this operation.

Eli

Yes, i understand the fact that FM assignment is essential for every posting in FI, but i would expect the clearing document would use the assignment of the original GL document. If this is not standard behaviour, then i would like to know if it is possible te skip the derivation if there is a FM account assignment in the original document. Do you know if this is possible?
