Hi, it is possible to implement this control through BCS. You might consider migrating to BCS

Hi Mar,
Can migration be taken up in the middle of the year or only at the begining of the year.

Hi, as i know monthly budgeting can not executed by former or BCS. For BCS, maybe if you ask developer through development request. As long as i read the library, BCS not yet support the monthly budgeting. Or, i'm wrong .. ?
as i implemented, monthly budgeting just statistical as information purposes. It is done by activate PBET on customizing/override make other setting.
Budgeting still annual, however you will have information on monthly.
I have another solution how to checking budget by monthly.
1. using release
2. using tricky way, if you are using plan data transfer between CO-FM
using version 0 Controlling per.01-12
using version FM to coy plan to plan, each period
then, fm9c every periodic.

Hi,
In BCS, monthly-based AVC can be achieved by defined several AVC ledgers (one per month)
Further, as of EHP4, there is a new element called 'Budget period' which is part of the Account assignment and can be used for AVC purposes
There is information in the help.sap.com:
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/f0/ca5716260211d28a430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
see 'Master Data ->Account assignment elements'
About migration to BCS, I think this information can also be relevant for you:

hope this helps
