Does anyone know how Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Customer Furnished Equipment is handled / implemented in SAP ?
Does SAP support this functionality?

Hi Fred,
When you mention GFE are you referring to requirements around "Government Furnished Equipment"? If so, are there specific aspects of this that you are trying to figure out how to handle in SAP?
One piece may be that GFE requires Federal Property that is provided to a University be tagged and tracked so that it is available for auditibility, reporting, and location tracking. This is hard with standard functionality because the asset would have a value of $0.
We do have some functionality called "Accountable Property" that may support this part of the requirement. If you search the help portal you can find some more specifics on this functionality. Currently this functionality is associated with U.S. Federal Agencies, however, if you have another client that may have a use for it, I can see if there are any technical restrictions.
