Funds Management Activation

Hi Experts,

We are at Version EA -PS - 600 - SAP Enterprise Extension Public Services ,. We have activated EA-PS .Component .

While in IMG , try to activate , system throwing following error message :

Activate Global Funds Management Functions (PSM-FM) - System ,Function is not possible; application IS-PS is not active

Message no. FI292

Diagnosis

Activating the Funds Management Government functions at client level requires the cross-client activation of the application.

System Response

The Funds Management functions are not activated.

Procedure

First activate the cross-client IS-PS application by using transaction FIBF under Settings -> Identification -> SAP Applications.

If we go and see above Path : IS -PS , check box is in NOT CHANGABLE .

Please sugges us to activate the same.

Hi,

Activating the Funds Management Government functions at client level

requires the cross-client activation of the application.

Thus you will first need to activate the application IS-PS in your

system which you can either do as explained in the longtext of message

FI292 or in your IMG under

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide

-> Activation Switch for SAP R/3 Enterprise Extension Set

Public Sector Management

Funds Management Government

Basic Settings

Activate Global Funds Management Functions (PSM-FM)

Indeed, if IS-PS is inactive in FIBF and greyed out, check note 544035 and reactivate EA-PS

addon by using report RFFM_ACTIVATE_BCSETS

Hi Mar ,

Thanks for your reply . Note : 544035 , we worked accordingly , still it is 'Greyed" that component , we feel the note is applicable upto 200 release , but our system release is 600 , please suggest any other note released for the activation of Ecc6.0 version.

Note is valid for EA-PS 200 'And subsequent' releases. You can see it in the 'Affected releases' when displaying this note:

We have applied note , still it is not through ..,

furthe we have tried to active T.Code >> FIBF , Settings --> but the IS-PS Check Box is in display mode.

Please help us any settings tobe activated .

therer is any restriction regarding the usage of other SAP modules due to Funds Management Activation?

As Funds Management Activation is as cross-client activity, Will I have any restriction/impact in other Vertical/Horizontal SAP solution by the fact that Funds management is active?

Please tell us which is your current SAP version, and from all apps (EA-PS, etc).

And explain us your problem.

Hi Osvaldo,

I am facing the same problem.

I was working on:  Define Planning Layout

Public Sector Management >> Funds Management Government >> Budget Control System (BCS) >> Budgeting >> Budget Entry >> Planning >> Define Planning Layout

The msg being:  function is not possible funds management is not active

As above, I tried to run under SE38: RFFM_ACTIVATE_BCSETS.

The msg being:

Transport request "IDSK900213" contains no incomplete structures

Transport request "IDSK900213" contains no incomplete enhanncements

Activation of BC Set EA-PS-AKH terminated

Activation of BC Set EA-PS-IMG terminated

Activation of BC Set EA-PS-MENU terminated

Iam using ECC 6 Version. I would be highly obliged if you could suggest me on this.

did anyone solve this issue:

I went to FIBF tcode but the check box is not active.

But the activation seems OK with RFFM_ACTIVATE_BCSETS

Any suggest will be helpful.

The Business Function of EA-PS was not active:

After the activation, IS-PS was check in T-code FIBF:

And I could continue with the configuration.
